Basic LinUX places Linux in its historical context and considers its importance or otherwise in today's milieu. The currently available Linux distributions are considered and criteria for selection are introduced.
Students are taken through the installation and set up process.
The course is for system managers, administrators and would be users who want to understand how to use Linux systems within the enterprise.
Students should be familiar with using PC's. Keyboard skills are essential for all practical sessions. Some knowledge of other operating systems is desirable but not essential.
£300 per day on site including a Linux distribution CD and course training notes for up to 6 trainees.
Off site training can be arranged.
