Linux basics Linux Training 0 Tux with mortar board

Linux training will enable you to efficently migrate to the fast growing operating systems available. Open systems can provide you and your organisation with robust, stable and secure servers whilst reaping considerable savings on licencing and support.

Linux/System V UNIX is a robust stable operating system. Even when running on Intel 386 architecture the OS provides a stable and potentially secure platform on which to run server applications.

System managers and administrators armed with a basic knowledge can effectively manage hundreds of hosts with minimal effort. The distributed networked environment is native to UNIX based systems and most internet standards were developed and proven on UNIX first.

Many of the basic Linux/UNIX tools have been available for up to 30 years. A basic understanding of those tools and the principle of Linux/UNIX systems administration, together with a little command line knowledge will enable users to manage systems across the enterprise and integrate Linux boxes with other platforms.
