Synopsis

7.07 is a major upgrade. It may be installed to new systems or as an upgrade to 7.06(x) clients. It must be installed using the Windows installer. The files that are needed to install 7.07 can be downloaded from a networked drive (Lawrence House) or directly from this server (see below).

Version 7.07 includes the HHSRS

The server will be upgraded on Sunday 29th January. After this date you must install the 7.07 client to access the production database.

Downloading 7.07

   	  do not have access to City Developments shared drives.

             A dialogue box entitled "File Download" should appear.
   	  The File name will be 707cl.exe. Click on the button marked
   	  "Open".

   	  The file will download and a dialogue box entitled
   	  "Extract Civica 707cl will appear. Click on on "Start"

   	  The files will be extracted from the archive to
   	  C:\WINDOWS\Temp and the install program will be run.

    	  Now go to  Install

   	or

   	2b. Download 7.07 from networked drive.

   	   Only choose this option if you are a Novel user with access to
              //devenv1/apps.

           3. A dialogue box entitled "File Download" should appear.

              There will be a warning that some files can harm your computer, the
              name of the file "setup.exe" and four option buttons. Click on the
              first button, marked "Open".

What to do if the above procedure does not work.

The above procedure assumes that;

  1. you have sufficient rights to install Flare.
    Most users in Lawrence House will be able to carry out the install with their own login, but at other locations "administrator" privileges may be required.

If you experience problems please contact your local Flare manager or your local IT support.
