CPP PC Client configuration

On 8th December 2005 Flare moved to a new Linux server. The server path configuration was changed during the migration to prevent the possibility of data being accidently entered in to the wrong database.

Your configuration may have been updated by your local Flare manager. If your Flare configuration has not been modified you will get an error message similar to this one.

FLARE Error - Login to FLARE Failed. Launch Client Configuration Manager Yes/No

Click on "Yes" to launch the configuration manager.

You will now get a large Flare dialogue box similar to the one below. The settings you may need to change are "Home on Client", "Server name", and "Server Path".

FLARE PC Configuration - set the server name and path

Ensure that the "Home on Client", "Server name" and "Server Path" are identical to those shown above.
The "Default ID" should be set to your telephone extension number.
The "Default User" should be your Flare login ID.

Once your set click on the "Test" button to the right of "Server Path".

A "FLARE Query" dialogue box will appear prompting you to save the configuration before the server test can be performed. Click on "Yes". A "Flare Information" box should appear similar to the one below. If it does click on "OK" and press start on configuration manager.

If the test fails contact your local Flare Manager .
